Greenpeace will hold it’s Global Day of Action (GDA) on December 8, 2007. This will be a global public initiative to address what many are considering the gravest threat we are facing today, climate change. This year, people and organizations around the world will highlight the Conference of Parties/Meeting of Parties (COP/MOP) on the Kyoto Protocol that will happen in Bali, Indonesia this December 2007.
In the Philippines, Greenpeace has been pushing the passage of the Renewable Energy Bill as the first decisive step of the Philippine government in honoring the Kyoto Protocol and ensuring the use of safe and cleaner energy sources.
