Scientist criticize NASA cheif’s statements on Global Warming

Posted under Global Warming Awareness

The head of NASA Michael Griffin mentioned in a taped interview aired on public radio his thoughts on Global Warming.

I have no doubt that global – that a trend of global warming exists… I am not sure that it is fair to say that is a problem we must wrestle with…

I guess I would ask which human beings, where and when, are to be accorded the privilege of deciding that this particular climate that we have right here today, right now, is the best climate for all other human beings. I think that’s a rather arrogant position for people to take.

Even having these statements, NASA released a research paper contrary to his beliefs written by nearly 50 scientist from Columbia University and NASA and published in the Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics where this paper shows human-made greenhouse gases have brought the Earth’s climate close to critical tipping points, with potentially dangerous consequences for the planet.

Electric Hand Dryer or Paper Towels

Posted under Global Warming Awareness

Some people say I pay too much attention to details of things around me. True or not, here are some small things I remember, they may not be 100% precise to the exact word, but I still remember the gist of these short stories.

On a normal day in College, right beside the school where I went to was a branch of McDonald’s. And during that time I was in there, McDonald’s was doing this earth friendly campaign and had fliers made out of brown recycled paper that had several tips on how to save the earth. In the rest room, after washing my hands I noticed the electrical hand dryer, there was a laminated paper sign stuck right beside it. Talking about how many trees you have saved over the year just by drying your hands with the electrical hand drier. It has some specific statistical numbers on it. And interesting I though, but I never gave much thought into it, since I did not care that much then and all my concern was pass my grades and do my sports and hobbies.

Then out of college, after working for 5 years already, I remember it was 1999 when I had a 10-day to the United States. A real quick vacation. Since it was a quick one, it was mostly going to theme/amusement parks and all these other nice places to go to. And I still remember it was in a rest room nearest to a parking lot at Universal Studios. When I was done with whatever I had to do, and was washing my hands, there were some paper towels. And near it was a sign talking about how much energy is save by using paper towels and not an electrical hand dryer. Which totally reminded me to what I have read in another rest room, 5 years ago, halfway across the globe.

Watch Discovery Channel on Global Warming Coming Soon

Posted under Global Warming Awareness

Discovery is now coming up with Global Warming: What you need to know with Tom Brokaw. Premiers July 16 at 9pm. Discovery Channel is known to be an authority in science. And it’s shows are well researched on with top scientist who are experts in their field of study. So their trailer seems to talk about the usual polar region, arctic circle ice melting thus increasing sea level. It would be interesting to see what direction they will be tackling. If they will talk about CO2 levels and the greenhouse effect similar to IPCC presentations, or will they also tackle sun cycles and sunspot count observations.

There are videos on scientific claims of global warming, stating that it is not due to anthropogenic (man-made) CO2 and is due to sun cycles. Two documentary videos that support the claim that it is not human made CO2 contributing to the greenhouse effect and causing global warming are:

GlobalWarming is due to Sun Activity and not CO2

Posted under Global Warming Awareness

As mentioned in my previous post that GlobalWarming is not caused by manmade CO2, then what causes it? Based on the documentary movie The Global Warming Swindle, the main cause of global warming is really the sun and the natural cycles of activity it goes through.

Sun activity observation was first experimented on for weather forecasting in the late 80’s by Dr. Piers Corbyn and was once called the super weatherman as he was talked about in media for having more accurate results in weather forecasting. Continue Reading »

Top 5 Points by Bill Butler on The Great Global Warming Swindle is itself a Swindle

Posted under Global Warming Awareness

Followers, readers of this blog may have already seen the full video of The Great GlobalWarming Swindle which within this video gave rise to one of my most popular post in this blog, where majority of my traffic is still from people going to the story on: 5 Good Arguments Why GlobalWarming is NOT due to Man-made Carbon Dioxide. Although I do not know much about Bill Butler, what his background is, but he seems to be a good researcher or many science topics as shown on his website named: Durango Bill.

He stresses out several points where The Great Global Warming Swindle documentary has several mistakes. After reading his post, The Great GlobalWarming Swindle is itself a Fraud and a Swindle. I took a close look at what he wrote. Continue Reading »
